The adventurous Moomin family live in their house in Moominvalley and have many adventures with their various friends. Moomintroll also loves the sea and that’s why you can meet him onboard our ships! The Moomins are the central characters in a series of Moomin books and a Moomintroll comic strip by Finnish author Tove Jansson, who wrote a first book about Moomin back in year 1945. Ever since people have fallen in love with Moomin family!During school holidays and summertime on Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony, you can cruise with Moomin characters every day! Moomin and his friend Little My entertain kids in Moomin disco in the early evening and are ready for hugs whenever passing by on the lively Promenade deck. Be ready for some serious Fun!

Top 5 tips for a cruise
1. Moomin & Family cabins
All Family cabins with a view towards the Promenade and part of the A class (with seaview for 3 persons) cabins are designed specially for Moomin lovers! By booking a Moomin cabin for the cruise it feels like staying a night in Moominhouse. Before bedtime it is nice to watch episode or two of original Moomin series from the cabin TV or read few pages in a light of Moomin lamp.

Cabins for children's taste
Cabin for max 6 persons, of which at least one must be a child. Family cabins are located on decks 8 to 11. Family cabins with sea view are 18 m2 and located on decks 8,9 & 10. Family cabins with view towards the Promenade are 14m2 and located on deck 11. Family cabins may only be reserved for minimum 3 passengers. 18 Family cabins have lovely Moomin theme design! All Family cabins have TV and refrigerator. Refreshments in the refrigerator are included in the cabin price. Breakfast is not included in the price.
NB! During holiday season min 5 passengers of which min 2 are children (0-17yrs).

The cabin can be booked without the restrictions mentioned above 12 hours before departure and 7 days before departure during the summer holiday periods.
2. Spa & sauna
The tropical atmosphere in Sunflower oasis on deck 12 is relaxing for the whole family. Simply enjoy and relax in the bubbles of the jacuzzi. Warm up and try the Finnish sauna and enjoy refreshments at the pool bar. During the summer season you can also sit outside on the sun deck.
There are separate saunas for men and women. Also private saunas are available for 1-10 persons. See prices and opening hours here →
3. Silja Land
Ball sea, games, toys, legos, climbing wall, Playstation corner and much more offers this huge playground just for kids! Silja Land has also own ice cream bar, microwave for heating up baby food and toilet with baby changing facilities.
During the peak summer season you an find an additional Summer Center area filled with fun activities for children at ship's conference area. Open from mid June until mid August.
4. Moomin Shop
The Moomin Shop onboard Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony is every Moomin lover's dream. Toys, ceramic dishes, clothing, notebooks, books and accessories all can be found in the store. Everything in the store is Moomin themed. Moomin Shop is a special world of Moomins in the Baltic Sea that offers the joy of discovery for both big and small travellers.
5. Childrens supplies
Within the cabin reservation you can reserve baby bed, baby pot and reelings to the bed in advance. From Silja Land you can rent baby buggies or baby carriers in exchange of small deposit. The fun family adventure begins the minute you step on board! During weekends and holiday seasons, cute Moomin likes to travel with us. Children’s playroom with many games, legos, and activities guarantees that the little sailors will enjoy. There are lots of restaurants to fuel up energy from kids' menu and of course, kids' drinks and ice cream are available all the time. During the summer season also the sun deck and summer centers offer loads of fun.
Moomin is on board Helsinki-Stockholm ships on weekends (Friday and Saturday departures) and every day during the school autumn holiday 11 October-2 November, 2024 & Christmas holiday 20 December- 4 January.
