Passengers without vehicle:

There are separate check-in counters for individual and group passengers in the terminal. Now you do not need to stand in the line to make the check-in for your cruise. Make the check-in comfortably yourself by using the self-service kiosk in the Värtan terminal. (max 9 persons/booking).

Passengers with vehicles:

Passengers with vehicles traveling to Helsinki, Turku and Tallinn must carefully follow the signs when arriving at the Värtan terminal. 


From/to the airport
All four of Stockholm’s airports are connected to downtown by airport coaches as well as municipal alternatives.
The airport train Arlanda-Express leaves from the central station (City-terminalen), the journey takes 20 minutes. The one-way ticket costs about SEK 220. See more at

By public transportation

The closest metro station stop is Gärdet (approx. 700 m), which can also be reached by wheelchair and strollers. The nearest metro station is approximately 700 meters from the Värtan terminal. Use the red Ropsten line when arriving from the city center.

SL busses nr 1 and 76 run to and from the port of Värtahamnen. No. 1 drives from Gärdet stop to the city center. No. 76 Värtahamnens stop close to Tallink Silja terminal (150 m) is suitable when going to/from Djurgården Island and the Royal Palace.

Paper tickets (Enkelbiljett) can be bought in advance from the Pressbyrån kiosk or from the ship's information desk. You may also pay with card on SL busses or in the subway or download the SL App to buy a ticket.
